  • Pressure switch faults
  • Blower motor wear
  • Dirty flame sensors

Diagnostic Error Codes

Code2 Flashes

System Lockout (No Flame)

Call a Pro

The furnace tried to light but couldn't detect a flame. The flame sensor likely needs to be cleaned, or the gas valve is failing to open.

Code3 Flashes

Pressure Switch Error

Call a Pro

The pressure switch is open. Check the PVC exhaust pipe outside to make sure it isn't blocked by snow or debris. If it's clear, the inducer motor or the switch itself may have failed.

Code4 Flashes

Limit Switch Open

DIY Fix Possible

The furnace is overheating. Turn the unit off and check your air filter. A dirty filter restricts airflow and causes the limit switch to trip.

CodeContinuous Flashing

Polarity or Grounding Issue

Call a Pro

The furnace control board is detecting an electrical issue. Do not attempt to fix this yourself. Call a certified technician to inspect the wiring and ground.
